Kristy Swanson beats up non-vampire

June 18, 2007 (dose.ca / Kat Angus) -- It's been 15 years since she starred in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but Kristy Swanson is still kicking some ass. People reports that Swanson, 37, was arrested Saturday night (June 16) for allegedly assaulting Marcia O'Brien, the ex-wife of Swanson's boyfriend, figure skater Lloyd Eisler.



Swanson, 36, was taken into police custody in Kingston, Ontario, after O'Brien filed a formal complaint against her. She was later released on $500 bail.

"I had to go the police station where I had an appointment at 9 p.m. to begin the process of being arrested," Swanson explains to People. However, she maintains that O'Brien initiated the attack and plans to file charges of her own against the woman.

Swanson and Eisler began their romance when they were paired up for Skating With the Stars in 2006. The coupling created quite a bit of controversy because Eisler left his pregnant wife for the former Buffy star. The situation is reminiscent of the Tori Spelling/Dean McDermott/Mary Jo Eustace debacle, except this time it involves people you care even less about.

June 18, 2007 (Hollywood.com / Wenn) -- The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kristy Swanson, is pressing assault charges against the ex-wife of her current boyfriend, skater Lloyd Eisler. The actress was arrested over the weekend after love rival Marcia O'Brien filed a complaint against her with local police in Ontario, Canada. O'Brien charged she was the victim of an attack by Swanson. The actress insists it was O'Brien who attacked her--in front of the children she shares with ex-husband Eisler. Eisler left O'Brien, who was pregnant with their second child, after falling for Swanson while the couple recorded reality TV show Skating with the Stars last year.

Wow, this just keeps getting better: June 29, 2007 (ContactMusic.com) -- Actress KRISTY SWANSON has hit back at claims she is a "homewrecker", insisting she did not break up her partner LLOYD EISLER's marriage to ex-wife MARCIA O BRIEN. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star and her love rival O'Brien were both arrested and questioned by police following a fracas in Ontario, Canada earlier this month (16Jun07). Swanson has since filed assault charges against O'Brien claiming she was attacked by her love rival and was the only victim in the fight. She tells People.com, "She attacked me, and I am confident that after the investigation is complete, the truth will come out. "Her allegations that I attacked her are completely false." Professional ice skater Eisler and Swanson caused a scandal when they started dating while co-starring in TV talent show Skating With Celebrities in late 2005 - while Eisler was still married to O'Brien, who was then pregnant with the couple's second child Seth Keenan. But Swanson, 37, insists she is not a homewrecker. She adds, "Lloyd and Marcia were separated before I ever met him; I did not break up the marriage. "After the show was over it hit me, 'Wow, that person had a drastic effect on me!' Changes had to be made - and I chose to make them." Eisler divorced O'Brien in January (07) - a month before Swanson gave birth to their son Magnus Hart.
