any of you have children at an age where they understand about vampires?

would you ever influence their choices and opinions of vampires

would you be offended if they were not interested?

Re: children and vampires

Yeh I want my kids to be able to think for themselves and make their own minds up about things. I have spent a lot of time educating my daughter, as much as I can, about religion, spirituality, and even things like vampyres. I guess with being Celtic that is all so much a part of who we are that it seems natural to me to do this. I will teach my son as well when he's old enough. I agree it would be good to share interests with them as well. My daughter is really quite religious and has a strong faith in God which I see as quite a good thing, it's a great psychological ptotective factor for life and spiritual too depending on what you believe. Not sure where that came from, she wanted to be baptised so I arranged it for her when we lived in our previous place, the priest we had was a very special man so I think that had an effect on her. You know when religious writings talk about people being Holy, well this guy was the real thing. I think no matter waht we do we influence our children even if we go out of our way not to just by unconscious process.

Re: children and vampires

No kids here, but I wouldn't be at all offended if they had no interest in vampires. Like any aspect of my life, whether it be what I do for a living or what activities I like to pursue, I wouldn't pressure my kids to do the same.  I say if they also find interest in the same things, great. If not, no biggie. :)
