This film marks the return of Hammer Films after 20 years, and features legendary Hammer actress Ingrid Pitt. The story centres on a soldier named Ed, who, on the eve of being sent to Iraq, sets out to find his girlfriend. She was last seen partying with an odd bunch led by a man called Melech. When Ed finally catches up with him at a rave in the woods, they learn they are in the company of vampires. The feature is apparenlty going to be first released online.

The original told the story of several people quaranteed on a small island, where its also believed to be inhabited by vampiric demons. This remake sets the film in present-day Afghanistan, where a viral outbreak will occur.

LOST BOYS 2: THE TRIBE

The film takes place in the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson and his younger sister, Nicole. Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the locals’ way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gang’s lifeline before his sister’s transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog. I personally think an originally-planned sequel, Lost Girls, would have been more interesting.

LOVE AT SECOND BITE

The film takes place 25 years after the events of the first film, centering on Dracula's Americanized son, who has rejected his family's heritage and is getting married to a human. Trouble ensues when he learns that his vampire relatives are coming to America for the wedding.

NEAR DARK (REMAKE)

The original told the story of a traveling family of vampires, who reluctantly bring a young new member into their group. We follow the family as they cause trouble in various towns and ultimately getting the law to catch up to them. Considering how past remakes have done (Psycho, Halloween) I have doubts about this one. Why remake something that is already a vamp classic?

A priest (Gerard Butler?) disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece.

THE STEADFAST TIN SOLDIER AND THE VAMPIRE

Based on the graphic novel Baltimore, or The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, which tells the story of the awakening of supreme evil on Earth. Lord Henry Baltimore is bitten by a demonic vampire bat on a WWI battlefield. The plague destroys his family, and Baltimore creates a team to hunt and fight the Red King, the embodiment of all evil. A script is being written by Mignola and Golden, and the film will be directed by David Goyer.

No official plot yet, but it's said to take place 25 years after the events in Bram Stoker's Dracula, with all the surviving protagonists making an appearance. Personally, I think a movie based on "The Book of Renfield: A Gospel of Dracula" would be much more interesting.

ZEN IN THE ART OF SLAYING VAMPIRES
No official plot yet, but the book tells the story of a man whose turned into a vampire, but surpresses his need to feed through the use of zen meditation. The man then joins an underground society and aids in the war against the bloodsuckers. Script to be written by the book's author, Steven-Elliot Altman.
